W. Les Thistle BComm, LLB
Les graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1991 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto in 1994 with a Bachelor of Laws degree. Les was called to the Newfoundland and Labrador bar in 1995. He practiced with a small firm for a year before starting W. Les Thistle Law Office in 1996 which has been in operation since that time. Les' primary areas of practice are real estate, wills and estates, business/corporate law and personal injury. He has handled over 15,000 real estate transactions in his career and has litigated matters in all levels of court in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Sean Montague BA, LLB
Sean Montague received his Bachelor of Laws degree in 2004 from Dalhousie University Schulich School of Law and was admitted to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar in 2006. Sean has a thriving litigation practice focusing on both Family Law and Criminal Law.
For more than 17 years, Sean has successfully represented hundreds of clients and has appeared before all levels of court in the province including the Newfoundland and Labrador Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador General Division, the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador Family Division, and the Provincial Court of Newfoundland Labrador. He has also represented clients in numerous administrative tribunals across the province.
In addition to his work as a trial lawyer, Sean also has extensive experience with dispute resolutions and negotiating settlements before they proceed to court. He is committed to providing satisfying results for his clients.
